This 2-CEU Law & Ethics presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of some of the liability issues both private practice and agency-based therapists and drug counselors face and may not recognize. Better Safe Than Sorry: The Laws and Ethics of Clinical Documentation is a synoptic presentation that is geared at increasing your understanding of the legal and liability-related factors that come into play with your clinical documentation, and how to integrate Best Practice into your work. This continuing education event is designed to help you improve your documentation practices in order to keep you, your clients, and your practice safe. Additionally, this presentation offers clinicians insight about how integrating Medical Necessity into documentation practices can both improve the quality of care you provide and improve the authorizations granted by third-party payers like managed care companies.
