About him: John Irias, MS, LMFT #83364 is a dedicated and accomplished Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. John earned a bachelor’s degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, CA. He has worked in community outpatient and residential settings with children, adolescents, and adults. His experience has included working with depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, personality disorders, bipolar disorders, and other persistent mental illnesses. John provides individual and family therapy with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy-based interventions to help develop mindfulness, improve emotion regulation and distress tolerance, and build healthy interpersonal relationships.
John was raised in Camarillo, CA, and moved to the outskirts of Philadelphia, PA as a teenager. After college he returned to Southern California to further his education and pursue a career in Mental Health. In his spare time, John loves to spend time with his family, going on adventures, cycling, martial arts, playing guitar, and relaxing to records. He is a fan of many musical genres, though partial to Rock, Blues, & Jazz.
